Medical and sanitary transport at Falck - what do we offer?

Medical transportation is the service of transporting a patient in a sanitary car, with a stretcher to a health unit, with the possibility of medical care, in a medical situation that precludes the ability to move independently. It is not an ambulance service, which is called in conditions of danger to health or life.

What is medical transport of a Patient?

Falck Medicine offers professional medical and sanitary transport for people in situations of sudden deterioration of health, and those awaiting elective treatments or examinations. We provide intercity and international transports. Their pricing is done on an individual basis. We make every effort to ensure that our patients are not left without help, even far from home.

Do I have to pay for medical transportation?

If the transport has been ordered by a doctor/hospital or POZ that cooperates with us, there will be no need to pay for the Patient's transport. Transportation is billed between us and the hospital or POZ, so the Patient does not participate in covering the costs out of his/her own pocket.

What if my ambulance does not arrive?

If the ambulance does not arrive, contact the hospital or the person ordering it to see if the transport has already been ordered.

If the hospital confirms that the transport has been ordered , we will contact us at 22 53 59 151 so that we can check where the ambulance is, as there may be a valid reason why it has not arrived.
How do I book Patient transportation?
It is very simple. You call Falck Medicine - at tel: 22 53 59 151. You don't need any appointments or , "paperwork". Our 24-hour National Operations Center is staffed with qualified Dispatchers who will conduct an interview to gather the necessary information and adjust the transportation service to meet your needs or carry out in accordance with a medical order.

Does Falck Medicine guarantee the safety of patient transportation?
Yes, Falck Medicine guarantees the full safety of its services. Our employees are qualified personnel with many years of experience as doctors, nurses, paramedics/rescue workers and physiotherapists/rehabilitation specialists.

Our fleet of vehicles are ambulances equipped with modern equipment, so as to always take care of the health and life of Patients, at the highest possible level.

In addition, all ambulance crew members are trained in the required rescue skills, confirmed by the relevant certificates.
Will the rescuer be healthy, vaccinated against COVID 19? Will he or she have a face mask ?
Medical personnel, as recommended by the Ministry of Health, have been vaccinated twice against COVID- 19.

All Employees, having direct contact with the Patient, are equipped with individual personal protective equipment. These measures are used on a one-time basis.
Will the ambulance be clean/disinfected?
Yes. All Falck Medicine ambulances are cleaned and disinfected after each patient transport.
Can an accompanying person travel with me ?
Yes, always. Remember, however, that you must inform them when booking transportation. The accompanying person must be picked up from the same place as the patient.
How do I pay for transportation?
If you have a valid subscription, the cost is covered by the subscription. You can pay for transportation with cash and card quickly and securely directly in the ambulance (our ambulances are equipped with payment terminals). When ordering transport, BLIK payment can also be made.
How much stuff can I take with me to the ambulance ?
A small carry-on bag if the person is single. Otherwise, things are taken by the family. The ambulance is not designed to transport bags.
How much in advance do I need to book transportation ?
At least one day in advance to book for a specific time.
Where can I be transported to?
Transport can be provided to a location that is indicated during a conversation with the dispatcher. The dispatcher will confirm that the transport in question is possible.
Who can be transported ?
Both people lying down and walking. There is, also, no upper age limit. Note, however, that minors must be accompanied by an adult legal guardian.
Will I be transported back , under the door '?
Our staff will help you find your way to the hospital, clinic. After the transport is over, we will help to arrange the patient in a convenient position at home. We carry out transports , "from bed to bed".

Also for people who are scheduled for procedures or examinations carried out in the so-called scheduled mode. We provide comfortable and safe transportation for the Patient and accompanying person. We take a flexible approach to everyone, with respect and due care, taking care of needs on an individual basis. If there are individual requirements or unusual needs, we will do our best to meet all reported expectations.
