Falck Medicine for Seniors

Falck Medycyna, as a Strategic Partner of KIDO - National Chamber of Nursing Homes, actively participated in the 10th edition of the Scientific and Educational Conference Senior - Care. This is a meeting of experts dealing with long-term care for seniors in nursing homes, as well as those remaining in their homes, but with support provided by the social welfare system. As part of the conference program, Damian Kardymovich of Falck Medica presented a lecture in which he argued that the continuous improvement of the competence of personnel responsible for the care and assistance of seniors makes it possible to increase the quality of the care provided, as well as improve the comfort of patients receiving care.

Falck Medycyna is expanding the range of services it offers to both entities responsible for the long-term care of seniors and to individuals whose family members need constant, reliable and professional support. The medical armband is a convenient and maintenance-free solution that guarantees constant monitoring of key vital functions for the person who has it on his or her arm, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Data from the armband is continuously monitored at the Falck Medicine National Operations Center, staffed by dispatchers with medical training. This ensures immediate intervention in case of sudden changes in parameters or a fall of the monitored person. This,a significant advantage over competing solutions. As a result, our wristband is not just another gadget for data collection, but first and foremost, it gives security through constant monitoring of vital parameters and immediate response in an emergency situation.

The armband provides monitoring of heart rate, blood pressure, saturation and temperature with graphs. An alert is triggered when there is a sudden sharp deviation from the norms. The device allows integration with a glucose meter via bluetooth, so medical personnel at the National Operations Center can continuously monitor glucose levels. The moment the wristband is removed from the hand, the event is recorded in the system. A GPS locator allows the Senior's location to be tracked at all times. Thanks to a dedicated mobile application for the caregiver, the nearest person or family member can constantly track the records of monitored parameters. The pedometer allows to control the necessary dose of movement. The wristband reminds of medications or doctor's appointments. All on a durable, hypoallergenic silicone band, resistant to liquids and pouring water. And an easy-to-read watch display.

In the event of a crisis situation, an ambulance equipped with the necessary equipment with rescuers and a doctor prepared to help will arrive at the indicated location.
